What is SMS Spam?
SMS spam refers to unsolicited and often irrelevant or inappropriate messages sent to
mobile
phones. These messages can be promotional, fraudulent, or malicious in nature and are
typically
sent in bulk to a large number of recipients without their consent. SMS spam can be
annoying,
intrusive, and potentially harmful, as it may contain phishing links or scams designed
to steal
personal information.
How Text Club prevents SMS Spam
Text Club includes a feature to block outgoing spam messages. It works by detecting
if an outgoing message contains a word or phrase that is on the spam list. If it does, the message will be blocked and not sent to the recipient.
Managing the Spam List
To manage the spam list, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Text Club account as an administrator.
- Navigate to the "SMS" section of the side menu.
- Click on the "Spam Words" option.
- You will see a list of words and phrases that are currently on the spam list.
- Add a new word or phrase to the spam list by entering it in the input field. There can be one word per line.
- Click the "Submit" button to save the new word or phrase to the spam list.
