STEP 12: Configure Text Club for WhatsApp Messaging
In this step, you will configure Text Club to send and receive WhatsApp messages.
Create Login Configuration
  1. Login to your Facebook Developer account and navigate to your app: https://developers.facebook .com/apps
  2. In the left sidebar, click on Add product and then select Facebook Login for Business.
  3. Complete the setup process
  4. On the left sidebar, click Facebook Login for Business and click Settings
  5. In the Allowed Domains for the JavaScript SDK field enter your domain url eg. https://example.com
  6. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
  7. On the left side menu, click on Facebook Login for Business and click on Configurations
  8. Click Create Configuration
  9. In the Configuration Name field, enter a name for your configuration and click the Next button.
  10. Select Whatsapp Embedded Signup and click the Next Button
  11. Select Token Expiration as Never and click the Next button.
  12. Select Whatsapp Accounts as the assets you want to use for this configuration and click the Next button.
  13. Under Permissions, select whatsapp_business_management and whatsapp business messaging and click the Next button.
  14. Copy the Configuration ID. You will need it in the next step.
Obtain your App ID and App Secret
  1. In the left sidebar, click on Settings and then select Basic.
  2. Copy the App ID and App Secret. You will need them in the next step.
Set your App to Live
  1. On the Facebook Developer page, toggle the App Mode to Live. This option can be found at the very top of the page.
Add Whatsapp to your Text Club App
  1. Login to your Text Club application as an admin.
  2. On the left panel, Click on the Whatsapp Onboarding menu item .
  3. Paste the Configuration ID you copied in the previous step into the Configuration ID field.
  4. Paste the App ID you copied in the previous step into the App ID field.
  5. Paste the App Secret you copied in the previous step into the App Secret field.
  6. Click on the Submit button to save your changes.
Congratulations! You have successfully configured Text Club to send and receive WhatsApp messages.
